Bishkek, July 22, 2019. /Kabar/. Kyrgyz athlete Kamil Sabitov became Eurasian show jumping champion in Russia.

Sabitov was the only one who managed to overcome the Grand Prix route with the height of obstacles up to 145 cm without penalty points. He performed on a mare named Carmen. The pair overcame the route in 80.75 seconds.

“I'm pleased with our performance. The day before yesterday we played in the team event, took an honorary second place, I think it's a pretty good result, five teams performed, and we remained second,” the athlete said in an interview.

Show jumping, also known as "stadium jumping", "open jumping", or simply "jumping", is a part of a group of English riding equestrian events that also includes dressage, eventing, hunters, and equitation. Jumping classes are commonly seen at horse shows throughout the world, including the Olympics.

International competitions are governed by the rules of the International Federation for Equestrian Sports (FEI).
