Kyrgyzstan's labor minister steps down

Bishkek, Aug. 24, 2020. /Kabar/. During a press conference in the capital city of Bishkek, Minister of Labor and Social Development of the Kyrgyz Republic Ulukbek Kochkorov announced he is resigning as the minister at his own accord.

"For today I want to bring more benefit to our state. With this in mind, I have decided to leave the post of minister and put forward my candidacy in the upcoming elections to the Jogorku Kenesh (Kyrgyz Parliament), " he said.

On Oct. 25, 2018 by Presidential Decree of Sooronbay Jeenbekov, Kochkorov was appointed as minister of labor and social development.

Parliamentary election in Kyrgyzstan are set for Oct. 4, 2020.
