Bishkek, April 20, 2022. / Kabar /. Kyrgyzstani Akzhol Makhmudov won gold in Greco-Roman wrestling at the Asian Championship held on April 19-24 in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia.
The Kyrgyz wrestler defeated Kazakhstani rival Maksat Yerezhepov 3-1 in the finalin the weight category up to 77 kg.
Akzhol Makhmudov has become two-time Asian champion. The national athlete won his first title in 2018 at the Asian Championships in Bishkek. He is also the silver medalist of the Olympic Games in Tokyo.
