Tashkent, Feb.20, 2020 /Kabar/. We are ready to realize complex tours together with our colleagues from Central Asia, Commercial Director of Manas Airport Elnar Subakozhoyev told journalists during the International Aviation Forum in Tashkent.
"Our countries - Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan and Tajikistan - are part of the Great Silk Road. More and more tourists want to visit several countries at once, so I think that in the near future, similarly to Europe, tourists will also be offered package tours. Passengers are interested in fast and comfortable travel throughout the region, and our airport, as well as the airport in Osh and Issyk-Kul, may become one of the key links in this transport and logistics network," Subakozhoyev stressed.
As part of the International Aviation Forum in the Uzbek capital, representatives of foreign airlines are discussing prospects for cooperation and implementation of joint projects.
In particular, the delegation of Manas Airport in the capital of Kyrgyzstan is also negotiating. According to the representative of this air harbour in Bishkek, Central Asia has good prospects for business and passenger transportation.
In Tashkent, the Kyrgyz delegation has already held a number of important meetings with Uzbek partners, discussing several promising projects to expand the route network.
"I hope that in the near future we will be able to implement them," Subakozhoyev concluded.
"Uzbekistan Airports, Aviation & Logistics Forum" has kicked off on 19 February in the Tashkent''s exhibition complex "Uzexpocentre".
The forum was attended by representatives of about 180 companies from around the world: Boeing and Jetcraft (US), Air Charter Service (UK), Bombardier Business Jets (Canada), TLD (India), Luftansa Consulting (Germany), EGIS (France), ATR (Spain), Kuwait Airways (Kuwait), Air Arabia and BGT Events (UAE), Gulf Air (Bahrain), Korean Air and Asiana Airlines (South Korea), Azerbaijan Airlines (Azerbaijan), Aeroflot and AirAero (Russia), Al Masria (Egypt), Zagros Airlines (Iran), Pegasus Airlines and Turkish Airlines (Turkey), Mitsubishi Corporation(Japan), Air Astana (Kazakhstan) and others.
Representatives of many companies participate in plenary sessions held as part of the forum. At the sessions, many international experts including Charles Schlumberger (World Bank), Askhat Torshin (Lufthansa Consulting), Amir Otakiy (Bombardier), Kamil Al-Awadhi (Kuwait Airways), Aytach Mastaliyeva (Amadeus), Ralph Weber (Airbus) and Alexey Sinitsky (AtoEvents) shared their experience in the development of tourism and transport systems, Trend reports.
The forum was organized by the State Committee for Tourism Development of Uzbekistan, the Ministry of Transport, and Uzbekistan Airways in cooperation with the Fair Exhibition Organizers company (UAE).
