Osh, Sept. 7, 2020. /Kabar/. Electricity will be provided to the most remote village of Zardaly in the village administration of Kara-Bak in Batken Oblast, the press service of the Osh Electro enterprise said.
Head of the National Energy Holding Aitmamat Nazarov and Director General of the Osh Electro JSC Artur Zhusuyev went to the village of Zardaly, where they got acquainted with the situation on the spot and discussed the conduct of electricity to local residents. By order of Kyrgyz President Sooronbay Jeenbekov, the plan to provide electricity to the residents of Zardaly village was put on the first place.
The main direction of the Osh Electro is construction of a 10 km high-voltage power line (10 kV) and 2 substations in Zardaly village. It is planned to build a substation and a power transmission line (0.4 kV) at the border post located 4 km away from the village. Before the completion of the work on electricity, 20 solar-powered batteries were given to the residents of Zardaly village for temporary use.
Zardaly is located high in the mountains nearby the border of Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan. It is home to about 1000 people, who live without electricity, communication or any other advantages of modern civilization. There are no public institutions in the village except for a primary school built in 2010.
