Bishkek, May 6, 2020. /Kabar/. There is a shortage of 123 medics in Naryn Oblast, Coordinator of the Kyrgyz Health Ministry in the oblast Murat Aliaskarov said at a news briefing.
According to him, the issue of shortage of medics in the region is acute.
"Since the coronavirus epidemic, medics have been sent to Naryn Oblast from Bishkek. Nine medics arrived in At-Bashy region, one in Jumgal region and three in Ak-Tala region," he said.
Aliaskarov added a mobile laboratory is also operating.
"Earlier, we had received four infectious disease epidemiologists and psychologists," he added.
As of May 6, 28 more cases of coronavirus infection have been registered in Kyrgyzstan, bringing the total to 871.
Of these, 211 cases are identified among medical workers.
Number of recoveries from this respiratory disease is 614.
12 have passed away.
In the cities of Bishkek, Osh, Dzhalal-Abad and At-Bashy region of Naryn Oblast a state of emergency is in force until May 10 inclusively due to the current situation under COVID-19. A curfew has been established.
At the same time, the Kyrgyz Government has already developed a three-phase procedure for resuming economic activity, and the first stage came into force on May 1.
