Bishkek, Sept. 23, 2024. / Kabar /. Chairman of the National Bank of the Kyrgyz Republic Melis Turgunbaev met with Deputy Chairman of the People's Bank of China Zhang Qingsong as part of his participation in the 16th meeting of the intergovernmental Kyrgyz-Chinese commission on trade and economic cooperation in Beijing.
The National Bank of Kyrgyzstan reported that the meeting was attended by Minister of Finance of the Kyrgyz Republic Almaz Baketaev and Minister of Economy and Commerce of the Kyrgyz Republic Daniyar Amangeldiev.
During the meeting, the parties discussed issues of expanding bilateral cooperation between the National Bank of the Kyrgyz Republic and the People's Bank of China in the field of central banking, as well as issues of cooperation between commercial banks of Kyrgyzstan and Chinese banks, including the opening of mutual correspondent accounts.
