Kyrgyzstan’s number of recoveries from coronavirus surpasses 79,500

Bishkek, Jan. 21, 2021. /Kabar/. Kyrgyzstan’s total number of recoveries from COVID-19 coronavirus infection has reached 79, 509 on Thursday.

Head of the Public Health Department of the Kyrgyz Health Ministry Ainura Akmatova said at a briefing that another 136 patients throughout Kyrgyzstan have cured of the disease in the past day.

She also reported that 155 new COVID-19 cases were recorded in Kyrgyzstan over the past 24 hours, taking the tally of infections to 83,585.

In addition, two more people died from COVID-19 coronavirus infection: 1 in Bishkek and 1 in Chui Oblast.

Thus, the nationwide death toll stands at 1,394.

708 patients are being treated in hospitals throughout the country and 1,044 patients receiving treatment at home.
