Kyrgyzstan’s Osh plans to start exporting potatoes to Russia

Osh, Feb. 18, 2021. / Kabar /. Governor of Kyrgyzstan’s Osh Oblast Zharasul Abduraimov got acquainted with the activities of a large Zyabidin-Ata agricultural enterprise, located in the Aravan region of the oblast.

This company plans to start exporting potatoes to Russia in 2021. Governor Abduraimov took part in the planting of potatoes. In 2020, 150 tons of cabbage were exported to Russia from Aravan region.

The modern greenhouse of this company employs 24 people and currently grows tomatoes, cucumbers, cabbage and other vegetables. The products are sold in Osh and Bishkek markets and each year the company produces 100 tons of tomatoes and earns KGS 11 million a year and KGS 6 million a year by selling cucumbers.
