Kyrgyzstan’s population amounts to almost 7.3 mln people

Bishkek, Nov.25, 2024. /Kabar/. The number of permanent population of the Kyrgyz Republic in January-September 2024 increased by 91.7 thousand people, or 1.3%, and amounted to 7 million 254 thousand people, the National Statistical Committee of the republic said.

Thus, the civil registry offices registered 107.9 thousand newborns, or 20.0 per 1,000 population (20.5 - in January-September 2023) and 24.2 thousand dead, or 4.5 per 1,000 population (4.4 - in January-September 2023). As a result, natural population growth reached 83.7 thousand people, or 15.5 per 1,000 population (16.1 - in January-September 2023).

The highest level of natural population growth in January-September 2024 was observed in Batken, Osh and Jalal-Abad Oblasts, and the lowest - in Bishkek and Issyk-Kul Oblast.
