Kyrgyzstan's population census includes questions on COVID-19

Bishkek, Nov. 12, 2021 / Kabar /. The 2022 population census of Kyrgyzstan included two questions on coronavirus infection.

Aizada Tukasheva, a specialist in the department of statistical censuses of the National Statistical Committee, said at a press conference that two questions will be included to respondents - Have you been sick with COVID-19? Have you visited a hospital?

She noted that questions on migration of the population, about the presence of heating in the dwelling, whether there are relatives of the respondent abroad who have been abroad for more than 1 year, will also be included.

According to her, personal protective equipment has already been purchased for census takers, the number of which will be approximately 28 thousand employees.

Population and housing census will take place from March 25 to April 3, 2022.

The Population and Housing Census for the first time will be conducted electronically using a mobile application.
