Bishkek, Jan. 20, 2021. /Kabar/. The results of voting in the early presidential elections at 6 polling stations were declared invalid, head of the elections organization department of the Central Election Commission (CEC) of the Kyrgyz Republic Tologon Aitikeyev said at a meeting of the CEC.
According to him, these are precinct electoral commissions in Naryn Oblast, in Aravan region of Osh Oblast, in Ysyk-Ata region of Chui Oblast, in Leilek and Kadamjay regions of Batken Oblast.
Tologon Aitikeyev also introduced a project to invalidate the results of voting at the polling station in Toktogul town of Dzhalal-Abad, where number of ballots for voting varied from number of citizens who passed biometric identification.
In addition, 4 applications were received from public observers at polling station in Osh, on the basis of which the working group decided to invalidate the results of voting. As a result of the review, CEC members declared the results of voting at these polling stations invalid as well.
Kyrgyzstan’s early presidential elections was held on Jan. 10. Seventeen candidate took part in it. According to preliminary data, Sadyr Zhaparov is leading with 79% of votes.
