Kyrgyzstan's referendum voting ends at 7 polling stations abroad

Bishkek, April 11, 2021. / Kabar / . Voting in the referendum on the draft Constitution of the Kyrgyz Republic was completed at 7 polling stations abroad, Chairman of Bishkek Territorial Elections Commission Kairat Mamatov said.

He added that he voting ended in Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk, Vladivostok, Irkutsk, Malaysia, Korea, Beijing and Guangzhou.

Voting in the referendum abroad is being held at 48 polling stations.

A referendum to determine the form of government in Kyrgyzstan was held on Jan. 10 of this year, along with the early presidential elections. Then the presidential form of government was supported by 81.49 percent of voters. After that, a constitutional counsel was created, which developed a new draft of the Constitution.
