Bishkek, Feb. 5, 2021 / Kabar /. Kyrgyzstani Bektur Alibayev has become the two millionth recipient of a biometric ID-card.
According to the press service of Kyrgyzstan’s State Registration Service, the solemn issuing of an identification card was held on Friday at the Population Service Center-2.
Deputy Chairman of the State Registration Service Tilek Batyrkanov presented to Alibayev a passport and gifts.
The Kyrgyzstani applied to the Population Service Center to obtain documents on reaching the age of 17, he will turn 17 on Feb. 17.
The recipient noted the services are provided quickly and in a timely manner.
An introduction of electronic ID cards began in Kyrgyzstan on May 1, 2017. The project was implemented jointly with KOICA (Korea International Cooperation Agency). The Korean side developed software for the electronic national ID card, provided server equipment and 1.9 million forms.
