Bishkek, Apr. 18, 2020. /Kabar/. Kyrgyzstan’s resident population in January-February 2020 increased by 18.5 thousand people, or 0.3%, and as of March 1 was 6 million 542 thousand.
According to the press service of the republic’s National Statistics Committee, 25.6 thousand newborns, or 23.9 per 1000 population (27.7 - in January-February 2019), 6.0 thousand dead, or 5.6 per 1000 population (5.5 - in January-February 2019) were registered in the registry office in the period January-February 2020.
As a result, natural increase of population made up 19,6 thousand people, or 18,3 per 1000 population (22,2 - in January-February 2019).
