Bishkek, Feb.6, 2018 / Kabar /. Two sportsmen will participate in the Winter Olympic Games from Kyrgyzstan - Tariel Jarkymbaev and Evgeniy Timofeev. The athletes, together with trainers and a representative of the National Olympic Committee (NOC) arrived in South Korea this morning.
Yevgeniy Timofeev will compete in slalom and giant slalom, and Tariel Jarkymbaev in the classic sprint.
The embassy staff and Ambassador of Kyrgyzstan to South Korea, Kylychbek Sultan himself and representatives of the Kyrgyz diaspora in South Korea greeted athletes at the Incheon airport.
The Ambassador wished success in the competitions and thanked the participants of the Olympiad for their long and painstaking work that led them to participate in such a great and significant event at which the flag of the country will be proudly fluttering.
Athletes will prepare for the upcoming competitions at the Olympic village.
As previously reported, Tariel Jarkymbaev will carry the flag of Kyrgyzstan at the opening ceremony.
Winter Olympic Games-2018 in PyeongChang (South Korea) will be held from Feb. 9 to 25.
