Bishkek, Jan. 9, 2021 / Kabar /. The total number of confirmed cases in Kyrgyzstan rose to 82,138 after 147 new cases of COVID-19 were reported on Saturday.
Among the new cases, 70 were confirmed in the capital city of Bishkek, 38 in Chui Oblast, 21 in Issyk-Kul Oblast, 1 in Jalal-Abad Oblast, 5 in Batken Oblast, 5 in Osh Oblast, 4 in Talas Oblast and 3 in Osh city, according to data of the Republican Headquarters for Combating COVID-19.
204 more recoveries were registered over the past day, taking the count to 77,751.
The death toll rose to 1,367 with two new fatalities during the last 24 hours.
862 people are in hospitals with 53 intensive care units. In addition, another 1,232 patients are receiving treatment at home.
The country conducted 1,570 tests within a day.
