Kyrgyzstan’s exports of large and small cattle makes 2% and 3%, respectively: statistics

In Kyrgyzstan, according to statistical data, the export of small ruminants (cattle) makes up 3% of the total volume, and large cattle (bovine) - 2%, Chairwoman of the Kyrgyz Land Association of Exporters and Importers Lenara Niyazbekova said at a press conference at Kabar News Agency.

She said the total volume of small cattle in the country according to official data is 6 million heads, and according to unofficial data - 9 million. In turn, the official volume of large one in republic is 2 million heads.

"At present, these industries need support, especially the large cattle industry," Niyazbekova added.

The chairwoman said the statistical data were provided for the period from fall 2019 to winter 2020.
