Kyrgyzstan’s Tynybekova loses in finals of Asian wrestling championship, wins silver

Bishkek, April 22, 2022. / Kabar /. Female wrestler from Kyrgyzstan Aisuluu Tynybekova (weight category up to 62 kg) lost in the finals of the Asian Wrestling Championships and won a silver medal. The tournament is taking place in Mongolia’s Ulaanbaatar.

Tynybekova began her entry into the tournament in the 1/4 stage. In the first bout, the reigning world and Asian champion defeated the athlete from Mongolia with 7:3, and in the semi-finals she was stronger than Uzbekistan with 6:0.

In the final, the Kyrgyzstani met Japan's Nonoka Ozaki and lost to her 9:1.

Aisuluu Tynybekova is the silver medalist of the Olympic Games in Tokyo (2020), two-time world champion, four-time champion of Asia in women's wrestling.

Kyrgyzstan’s women’s wrestling team won two medals: gold (Aiperi Medet kyzy) and bronze (Meerim Zhumanazarova).

A total of 21 wrestlers represent Kyrgyzstan at the Asian Championships in Mongolia.
