Bishkek, Jan.20, 2020. /Kabar/. Valentina Shevchenko from Kyrgyzstan will defend her championship title at the UFC 247 in Houston.
At the defending of the title, to be held on Feb.8, Shevchenko will fight against U.S. fighter Kathleen Chukagyan.
The UFC lightest weight category champion has published training photos on her page in social networks.
Shevchenko is currently in Thailand with her sister Antonina Shevchenko, where they are preparing for the upcoming matches under the leadership of coach Pavel Fedotov.
In August 2019, the Kyrgyz female fighter successfully held the second defense of the title, defeating American Liz Carmouche by unanimous decision of the judges.
In the first defense of the UFC title, she defeated Jessica Eye by technical knockout.
Valentina Shevchenko, 31, has 18 wins and three defeats in MMA battles. Kathleen Chukagyan won 13 battles and lost two.
