Kyrgyzstan’s vigilantes call on citizens to join their ranks

Bishkek, Aug.8, 2019. /Kabar/. Vigilantes will take to the streets today to ensure public safety, Daniyar Terbishaliyev, Kyrgyzstan’s People’s Vigilante Group Chairman told during the press conference at Kabar News Agency.

He said the only goal of the vigilantes is the safety of citizens.

The chairman called on Kyrgyzstanis to join their ranks in order to stand together against destructive forces.

“We'll be on duty 24 hours a day,” Terbishaliyev said.

Besides, leaders of a number people vigilante groups and organizations called on citizens not to be provoked; the only people, who suffer because of political events in the country; and the events of previous years must not be allowed to repeat.

Note, people vigilantes spoke in connection with the riots that took place last night in the village of Koi-Tash during the storming of the house of former President Almazbek Atambayev.
