Bishkek, Feb. 17, 2021. / Kabar /. A book exhibition entitled “Til uluttun doolotu” (Language is the great heritage of the nation) was opened on Wednesday at the department of rare and especially valuable publications of the National Library of the Kyrgyz Republic named after Osmonov.
The exhibition, timed to the International Mother Language Day, features books, newspaper publications, works and monographs of prominent philologists, linguists of Kyrgyzstan, as well as other literature, dedicated to the issues of language.
Kyrgyz language is a symbol of sovereignty and national statehood, an integral part of the national spirituality of the Kyrgyz people. Today, the Kyrgyz language is spoken by hundreds and thousands of citizens of the republic - representatives of various ethnic groups.
Also, the round table, which will be held in the framework of the exhibition, will address the development of the Kyrgyz language and strengthening its role in public life, as well as the functioning of the Kyrgyz language in all spheres of society.
The event will be attended by public figures, poets and writers, philological scientists, teachers and students of universities, as well as media representatives.
