Large meat processing plant to be open in Osh

Osh, Feb. 19, 2021 / Kabar /. A large meat processing enterprise will be opened on the territory of Kara-Suu region of Osh Oblast.

The oblast’s governor Zharasul Abduraimov got acquainted with the building of the future enterprise. The company plans to create 500 new jobs. In addition, the project provides for the production of glass jars, bottles and covers for preservatives on the territory of the plant.

“Earlier in the 1970s, canned meat produced in Kyrgyzstan was in great demand in Russia. We will bring back the Kyrgyz meat brand of the 1970s. Three modern slaughterhouses are being built in Kara-Suu region, their raw materials from here from the plant will be exported as finished products,” Abduraimov said at a meeting with heads of relevant sectors.

Kara-Suu region of Osh Oblast with a population of 348, 645 people is situated in the south-western part of Kyrgyzstan and borders with Uzbekistan.
