Bishkek, Nov. 19, 2020. /Kabar/. There were a large number of cyber attacks in the last elections, Maksat Mamytkanov, the Head of the Headquarters for Organization of Early Presidential Elections, Deputy Prime Minister of the Kyrgyz Republic Maksat Mamytkanov said during a press conference.
He noted the government could not interfere in the process of vote counting, but would provide security from cyber attacks and falsifications.
"There were a lot of cyber attacks. All relevant services are aimed at ensuring security. Counting of votes itself is prerogative of the Central Elections Commission,” Mamytkanov noted.
Kyrgyzstan’s CEC declared Oct. 4 parliamentary elections as valid. A total of 16 political parties run for seats in Parliament of the country.
