Bishkek, Dec. 20, 2021. / Kabar /. A large-scale information campaign was carried out within the framework of the decade to provide free legal aid to the population, Deputy Minister of Justice of Kyrgyzstan Orozbek Sydykov told during a press conference at Kabar News Agency.
He said that various actions, interuniversity games among students, quizzes on knowledge of the legislation of the Kyrgyz Republic have been held since one of the main goals of the decade was legal education, ensuring access to justice.
The deputy minister also noted that as part of the decade of the Center for Coordination of State-Guaranteed Legal Aid of the Justice Ministry, together with individual non-governmental organizations - the subjects of center, interuniversity quiz-games, various actions, guest meetings with students, schoolchildren, teachers, quizzes on knowledge of individual laws that contribute to an increase in the level of legal literacy were held.
Events for the provision of free legal advice and assistance to the population were held in all 34 centers for free legal aid located in the regions.
The decade was timed to coincide with the International Human Rights Day, which is celebrated annually on December 10. On this day in 1948, the United Nations General Assembly adopted the Universal Declaration of Human Rights.
The decade of free legal advice and assistance to the population has been held annually since 2016.
