Large South Korean companies told about investment and tourism potential of Kyrgyzstan

The Embassy of the Kyrgyz Republic in South Korea organized a presentation about Kyrgyzstan, which was attended by leading Korean companies: Nonghyup (NH), SK, Daesungja Management Korea, Hi Investment & Securities, Woori Finance Group, Shinhan Asset Management, Rich Asset Management and a number of other companies.

Among the guests of honor was Secretary of the President of the Republic of Korea for Startups, Small and Medium Enterprises Lee Byung-hyun.

The key topic of the event was the effective development of economic ties between Kyrgyzstan and South Korea.

During the event, Kyrgyz Ambassador to Korea Aida Ismailova made a presentation, introducing the investment, export and tourism potential of Kyrgyzstan. She drew attention to the fact that the issues of creating a favorable investment climate are one of the strategic directions and a priority for the long-term development of the Kyrgyz Republic.

The ambassador of also noted that today the Kyrgyz Republic, being in the heart of Central Asia and having a favorable geographical position, has all the opportunities and a favorable investment climate for foreign entrepreneurs to enter the market of the Kyrgyz Republic and attract investments. She also emphasized the possibility of creating joint Kyrgyz-Korean companies for the production and export of goods to European countries under the GSP+, including the EAEU countries with a market of 180 million.

Taking into account the high performance of the Republic of Korea in the transition to the Green Economy, which is one of the important components of ensuring sustainable economic development, she expressed interest in the joint implementation of investment projects in the field of the Green Economy in the territory of the Kyrgyz Republic.

Following the presentation, the sided actively discussed the possibility of cooperation in such key areas as healthcare, digital banking, energy and infrastructure.
