Bishkek, July 5, 2018 / Kabar /. A fire broke out at a petrol station in the village of Zhashtyk in Leilek region of Batken oblast on July 4 evening.
According to data of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Kyrgyz Republic, a fire report was received at 20:30. Firefighters of Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan were involved in fire suppression. Also 30 police officers and an ambulance crew worked on the spot.
The fire was localized at 22:40, and completely extinguished only in the morning at 05:25.
As a result of the fire the gas station was completely burnt down as well as 5 trucks, 2 trucks with gas tanks, 2 Mercedes-Benz Sprinter cars and 1 passenger car. Four people were injured by a night accident: 1 citizen of the Kyrgyz Republic and 3 citizens of Tajikistan. The Kyrgyz citizen was hospitalized in the hospital of the village of Kulundu, and the Tajik citizens were taken to the hospital of the neighboring country.
The causes of the fire and property damage are being clarified.
