Bishkek, Dec. 12, 2024. / Kabar /. The International Trade and Logistics Center (ITLC) "Atbashi" has completed the first stage of construction, which laid the foundation for the creation of the largest logistics hub in the region.
The company said that the new center will strengthen the ties between Kyrgyzstan, China, Central Asia and Europe, contributing to economic growth.
As part of the first stage, a number of facilities were built, including a building for the Free Economic Zone "Naryn" and the State Customs Service. The new office is equipped with all the necessary equipment for fast and efficient cargo clearance, which significantly simplifies the customs control process. The presence of the customs service directly on the territory of the logistics center will reduce the time for cargo processing and minimize logistics costs. Another significant facility was the building for the branch of the state-owned Eldik Bank, which is preparing to begin providing services for domestic and international money transfers, customs payments, as well as car loans and leasing.
The construction of offices for Kyrgyzpost has been completed. The postal service will ensure the delivery and processing of mail and cargo both within the country and abroad. Creating such conditions allows for faster delivery of goods and stronger ties with international partners.
The construction of a laboratory for technical inspection of cars, which will ensure safety and compliance with standards, and weight control, necessary for accounting of incoming goods, has also been completed. In addition, temporary storage warehouses for goods have been built, where customers can safely place their goods before further transportation or sale.
Atbashi is located only 100 kilometers from the border with China, which makes it a strategically important facility for the development of trade between the countries of the region. The center has already received the status of a subject of a free economic zone and a bonded warehouse. This creates additional benefits and opportunities for investors and entrepreneurs. The center’s management actively cooperates with domestic and international investors, promoting the project as a platform for doing business. In the near future, a presentation of the project is planned in Bishkek, a number of countries in the Persian Gulf, the CIS, Europe and China.
International Trade and Logistics Center Atbashi project was created within the framework of a public-private partnership (PPP).
