Bishkek, Mar.4, 2020. /Kabar/. Last year, 49,000 couples in Kyrgyzstan got married, the press service of the State Registration Service of the country reported.
According to the Service’s data, the largest number was registered in Osh Oblast -11,500, and 9, 000 couples in Dzhalal-Abad Oblast.
More than 7,000 couples got married in the capital city of Bishkek.
Civil registry offices in Chui Oblast have registered 6,500 marriages.
Average figures in Batken Oblast are over 4 thousand and in Issyk-Kul Oblast - 3 thousand.
The lowest number of registered marriages is in Naryn Oblast-1.7 thousand and in Talas Oblast - 1.6 thousand.
About two thousand couples registered their marriage in the city of Osh.
During the period under review, the number of marriages exceeded the number of divorces.
More than 10,000 married couples applied for dissolution of their marriage.
In this regard Bishkek leads- over two thousand divorces
Chui Oblast is in second place, where the number of divorces has also approached two thousand.
Osh and Dzhalal-Abad Oblasts, where 1,700 divorce applications received, are on the third place.
The strongest marriages are in Osh city, Naryn and Talas Oblasts, where the number of divorce applications does not exceed 500.
In Issyk-Kul and Batken Oblasts, about 900 married couples decided to divorce.
