Bishkek, Jan. 19, 2022 . / Kabar / . In 2021, 2,032 deals totaling KGS 9.74 billion were registered at the Kyrgyz Stock Exchange (KSE), President of KSE Medetbek Nazaraliev said during a press conference at Kabar News Agency.
Of these, more than 100 companies with securities in the amount of ,178 deals with shares totaling KGS 9.4 million, 830 deals with corporate bonds to the amount of KGS 343.16 million, 24 deals with government securities to the amount of KGS 22.75 million.
"During the period of 2021, 1,108 transactions were concluded with securities of listed companies, the volume of trade with which amounted to KGS 3.73 billion (which is 38.39% of the total volume of trade in corporate securities).
In addition, 900 deals totaling KGS 5.99 billion were registered with securities of non-listed companies. Compared with the same period of 2020, the volume of registered transactions decreased by KGS 1.1 billion, which amounted to KGS 7.099 billion in 2020," the president of the Kyrgyz Stock Exchange added.
Nazaraliev noted that as part of the development of the listing, KSE organized meetings and workshops for representatives of commercial banks, small and medium-sized businesses to attract investment in companies and their entry into the stock market by listing on the stock exchange.
"A new SPAC category of listing was introduced, the basis for the creation of which was the experience of the United States used to attract capital from investors to acquire a particular company," he concluded.
