Bishkek, Jan. 25, 2022 / Kabar /. A Joint Statement was adopted today, January 25, following the results of the online summit of the heads of state of Central Asia and China, on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations.
The online summit was attended by President of China Xi Jinping, Presidents of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Zhaparov, Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon, Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev.
The heads of states summed up and summarized the experience of multifaceted cooperation between the states of Central Asia and China over the past period and outlined areas of interaction for the future.
The sides declared the onset of a new era of relations between the Central Asian states and China. They are determined, on the basis of taking into account each other's interests, by joint efforts to further promote the development of a strategic partnership that is distinguished by rich practical content, significant results and strong friendship between China and Central Asia.
The heads of state intend to support cooperation in the political and security spheres, promote multi-vector practical cooperation based on openness, mutual benefit and respect for the interests of all six states, and also expressed their readiness to continue cooperation in the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic and international cooperation.
The sides expressed their readiness to support the efforts of the Central Asian states aimed at ensuring peace, security and stability in their countries and in the region as a whole, and they also stand for the active role of the SCO, OIC, ECO and other international and regional organizations in further strengthening stability and social economic development of the region.
