Leaders of Kyrgyzstan and Azerbaijan sign Memorandum on establishment of Interstate Council

Bishkek, April 20, 2022. / Kabar /. Within the framework of the official visit to Baku, President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Zhaparov and President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev signed a Memorandum on the establishment of the Interstate Council of the Kyrgyz Republic and the Republic of Azerbaijan on April 20.

The sign document says that the Kyrgyz Republic and the Republic of Azerbaijan, based on the traditions of friendship and fraternal relations between the peoples of the two states, guided by the Treaty of Friendship and Cooperation between the Kyrgyz Republic and the Republic of Azerbaijan dated April 23, 1997 and the Joint Statement of the President of the Kyrgyz Republic and the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan dated March 30, 2012, advocating the further deepening and expansion of Kyrgyz-Azerbaijani cooperation in order to effectively address priority issues and bring bilateral partnerships to a qualitatively new level, in order to strengthen bilateral cooperation in the political, economic, humanitarian and other areas of mutually beneficial cooperation, agreed on the following:

- establish the Interstate Council of the Kyrgyz Republic and the Azerbaijan Republic at the level of heads of state;

— to approve the Regulations on the Interstate Council of the Kyrgyz Republic and the Azerbaijan Republic attached to this Memorandum.
