Lecture about Kyrgyzstan takes place in two universities of Paris

Bishkek, Dec. 18, 2017 / Kabar / On Dec. 15, Ambassador of Kyrgyzstan to France Asein Isaev delivered a lecture to students of two Parisian universities: the National Institute of Oriental Languages ​​and Civilizations (Inalco) and the Institute for Policy Studies "SciencePro", the Kyrgyz Ministry of Foreign Affairs reported.

On the eve of the lecture, a separate meeting with Manuel Frank, the director of the Inalco was held. Possible issues of cooperation between the Inalco and one of the universities of Kyrgyzstan were discussed. The topics were primarily on exchange of students and teaching staff. The Inalco has a long tradition of studying the languages ​​and cultures of Eastern peoples since the 17th century. The works of Remi Dora ,the French linguist and expert on Central Asia and Kyrgyzstan are particularly well known.

The work of the world-famous Kyrgyz writer, politician and diplomat Chyngyz Aitmatov was also on agenda. The participants talked about the relevance of the writer’s works in our days both for Kyrgyz and French societies.

The second part of the lecture was held in a question-and-answer form dedicated to topics of interest of the students: the relationship between Kyrgyzstan and the global players of the multipolar world: Russia, China, the United States, the EU, India, the Central Asian countries, and the situation in Kyrgyzstan with respect for human rights. Ways of intensifying cooperation between Kyrgyzstan and France were discussed as well.
