Bishkek, Jan.13, 2025. /Kabar/. In January-November 2024, the volume of new loans in the Kyrgyz Republic increased by 37.6%, such data are given in the weekly macro review of the Eurasian Development Bank (EDB).
Meanwhile, EDB analysts note that the share of validation of loans is about 16 - 17%, which corresponds to the level of the previous year.
“That is, almost 45% of the growth is provided by an increase in the volume of consumer loans and 22% - trade loans. The weighted average rate on new loans fell to 17.4% in November from 18.48% in January 2024. The increase in consumer lending stimulated domestic demand, which in 2024 was one of the key drivers of the economy,” the EDB reported.
