Bishkek, April 27, 2023. / Kabar /. The Leninsky District Court of Bishkek satisfied the claim of the Ministry of Culture, Sports Information and Youth Policy against Azattyk Media.
The press service of the court reported that the activities of the Azattyk Media institution were terminated.
The decision of the court has not entered into force, and it can be appealed within thirty days.
On October 2022, the Ministry of Culture suspended the work of Azattyk for two months due to material that contradicted the national interests of Kyrgyzstan. The restriction was later extended.
On January 23, 2023, the ministry filed a lawsuit with the district court to terminate the activity of the Azattyk Media website.
