Bishkek, Jan. 31, 2022 . / Kabar / . "Leylek region of Batken Oblast will never become an enclave, we will not allow it," Chairman of the State Committee for National Security (SCNS) of Kyrgyzstan Kamchybek Tashiev told reporters on Monday.
He noted that there are various speculations on Protocol 39.
"Some politicians, bloggers, deputies give people wrong information and create a stir. They say that Leylek will become an enclave, this will never happen. This is all false information. When this protocol was adopted, all mechanisms of its implementation were considered," he said.
The protocol states that in order to provide a road to the Vorukh enclave, it is necessary to determine the status of the road, and it is defined on the basis of an interstate agreement.
"The agreement will specify whose road it is, what it will be, who will build it, maintain it, and how it will function. And only after that agreement will the issue of that road be decided," Tashiev explained.
"Leylek region will never become an enclave, we will not allow that. There will be two roads to Leilek: Ak-Sai - Ravat and through Tort-Kocho," the chairman of the Kyrgyz Committee for National Security added.
