Bishkek, May 6, 2020 / Kabar /. Light industry enterprises resumed production from May 1, 2020 in compliance with all sanitary and hygienic requirements at the enterprise, the press service of the State Committee for Industry, Energy and Subsoil Use of Kyrgyzstan said.
On May 4, 2020, chairman of the State Committee for Industry, Energy and Subsoil Use of the Kyrgyz Republic Emil Osmonbetov, his deputy Amanbai Kayipov and head of the Light Industry Association of the Kyrgyz Republic Saparbek Asanov visited several sewing enterprises and got acquainted with the activities after resuming work.
During a visit to sewing enterprises, Emil Osmonbetov noted that the light industry is a priority industry that performs an important social task in terms of creating jobs, in particular the clothing industry with high export potential.
The State Committee daily monitored the activities of industrial enterprises during quarantine to assist in solving their problematic issues.
“It is very important to strictly observe the sanitary and hygienic standards,” said Osmonbetov.
As is known, from March 25, 2020 due to the imposition of a state of emergency and curfew in the cities of Bishkek, Osh and other regions of the republic, the work of all light industry enterprises was suspended, all of them were closed for quarantine, with the exception of enterprises for the sewing of medical masks and protective suits.
About 20 enterprises of light industry and other individual entrepreneurs in the regions of the republic since the end of March have been producing disposable medical masks, as well as reusable masks and protective overalls.
Currently, about 25 light industry enterprises resumed production in compliance with all sanitary and hygienic requirements at the enterprise.
