Lithuanian mountain climber killed in Kyrgyzstan felling from cliff

Bishkek, Feb. 19, 2018 / Kabar/. Rescuers found a body of a mountaineer from Lithuania, who fell from a cliff in the Ala-Archa national park in Chui oblast, the press service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations reported.

The body of the 43-year-old climber was found by the rescuers on Feb. 18 at 13:30.

Two mountain climbers, citizens of Lithuania Saykauskas Saliyus and Keiskas Krupsky Alis fell from the rock on Feb. 15.

One of the climbers Keiskas Krupsky Alis was delivered to the private medical clinic in Bishkek on Feb. 17 by a helicopter of the General Staff of the Kyrgyz Armed Forces. He reportedly bruised his right leg, his state of health is stable.

The body of the second climber will be lifted from the gorge today, the report said.
