In order to ensure sanitary and epidemiological safety during the preparation and conduct of elections to local councils and referendums, Kyrgyzstan’s Ministry of Health in cooperation with the Central Elections Commission (CEC) has developed an algorithm of actions.
During a briefing in the Government House on Tuesday, head of the Public Health Department Ainura Akmatova said that the algorithm has been approved by the CEC and agreed with the Ministry of Health and Social Development.
"This algorithm contains a number of mandatory requirements for all state bodies, local authorities, precinct electoral commissions, territorial electoral commissions, candidates, pro and contra groups, citizens and the media," Akmatova added.
Kyrgyzstan’s local council elections will be held on Apr. 11, 2021. A referendum on the draft of new Constitution will take place on the same day.
