Lowering of stones in Boom gorge. Road to be temporarily closed

Bishkek, Apr. 4, 2019. /Kabar/. The road in Boom gorge is to be temporarily closed for 8 days due to the work on lowering of stones, the press service of the state-owned Kyrgyz Temir Jolu National Company reported.

According to their information, employees of the state-owned Kyrgyz Temir Jolu National Company will work on the forced lowering of stones on the Bishkek-Naryn-Torugart road section, 132 km of Boom gorge, from 5 to 12 April 2019, for the purposes of ensuring the safety of the movement of trains and motor vehicles.

The road will be periodically closed by officers of the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Kyrgyzstan on these days from 9.00 am to 3.00 pm local time.

In cases of a line of more than 30-40 units of vehicles, the work of lowering the stones will be stopped and vehicles will be allowed to pass.

“The work is carried out in the daytime under favorable weather conditions.

We apologize in advance for the inconvenience caused and seek your understanding,” the department appealed.
