Bishkek, Dec. 23, 2021 . / Kabar / . Bishkek has the lowest purchasing power among other capitals of member states of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU), the press service of Kyrgyzstan’s National Statistics Committee reported.
A comparative analysis of purchasing power of average monthly wages in capitals of individual EAEU member states shows that in November 2021 it was behind other capitals of EAEU member states in terms of basic necessities, which is due to the low size of the average wage in the Kyrgyz capital.
For example, average salary in Bishkek allows to buy 50 kg of beef for, while in Moscow it is 200 kg, or 4 times more. In Nur-Sultan city, it is possible to buy about 2 tons of bread with one salary, and in Bishkek - 3.7 times less (490 kilograms).
