Bishkek, Feb. 2, 2022. / Kabar /. Machine tractor station (MTS) will be opened in Kashka-Suu village of Kyrgyzstan’s Chon-Alai region for the funds allocated by the Russian-Kyrgyz Development Fund (RKDF).
The Russian-Kyrgyz Development Fund and SEVER-YUGOIL company signed agreement on the supply of agricultural machinery to Chon-Alai region of Osh Oblast. The Fund will provide with a preferential loan in the amount of USD 1 million 194 thousand for a period of 7 years, the RKDF reported.
A machine and tractor station will be opened in the village of Kashka-Suu of Chon-Alai region and more than 70 units of agricultural machinery and attachments are purchased for the allocated funds. MTS services will provide farmers with access to automated labor and use machinery and equipment for processing and harvesting potatoes, wheat, barley and perennial grasses.
Chairman of the Board of the RKDF Artem Novikov said that thanks to the project, new jobs will be created in Chon-Alai region. The productivity of farmers will increase, and the cost of cultivating land will decrease. The project will make up for the lack of agricultural machinery in the region by 40%. The sown areas will increase, and up to 720 hectares per year are additionally cultivated.
“This is a pilot project of the Fund on MTS in a remote mountainous area. We hope it will give a big impetus to the development of agriculture in the region and region. The RKDF is trying to make the maximum possible contribution to the implementation of the President's policy to ensure food security and development of the regions of the Kyrgyz Republic. The development of agro-industrial clusters is one of our priorities,” Artem Novikov said.
