Bishkek, Jan. 9, 2018 / Kabar /.The main New Year tree of Bishkek will begin to be dismantled after the Old New Year, Bishkek Mayor’s press service reported.
Bishkek Mayor’s Office said that all New Year decorations in the city will also be removed after January 15.
On Dec. 15, 2017, Mayor of Bishkek Albek Ibraimov along with Father Frost and Snow Maiden lit a 25-meter New Year tree on the capital’s main square.
Bishkek Mayor's Office mentioned that more than 15 million soms were spent on decorating the main New Year tree, the square, city streets and avenues.
Old New Year - according to the Julian calendar (according to the old style) comes on the night of 13 to 14 January.
