Bishkek, Dec. 27, 2023. / Kabar/. The tourism portal TurStat presented a rating of the highest main New Year trees of capital cities in the CIS for the New Year 2024.
The main New Year tree of Kyrgyzstan in Bishkek was also included in this rating.
According to TourStat, the top ten tallest New Year trees in the CIS countries included trees in the cities of Ashgabat (44 meters), Yerevan (37 m), Tashkent (35 m), Baku (34 m), Bishkek (32 m), Minsk ( 30 m), Dushanbe (30 m), Moscow (25 m), Astana (25 m) and Almaty (20 m).
The only living spruce among the main New Year trees in the capitals of the CIS countries is the main New Year tree of Russia, 25 meters high, on the Kremlin Cathedral Square in Moscow.
The rating was compiled based on the results of studies of the height of the main New Year trees in the capital cities of the CIS countries.
