Bishkek, Feb. 1, 2021. / Kabar /. The parliamentary majority coalition approved Ulukbek Maripov's candidacy for the post of prime minister.
Now, Maripov's candidacy will be considered in the committees of the Jogorku Kenesh, and then in the parliament.
Ulukbek Maripov has been working as the chairman of the Accounts Chamber of the country since 2016.
Sadyr Zhaparov, after being elected president of the Kyrgyz Republic, left the post of prime minister. Then the government resigned. At the moment, the acting prime minister is First Deputy Prime Minister Artem Novikov.
