Man commits suicide in Uzbekistan in quarantine center

Tashkent, June 22, 2020 /Kabar/. On the morning of June 21, a man was found hanged inside a container in the quarantine center of the Yukorichirchik region of Tashkent Oblast, the press service of the Ministry of Health of Uzbekistan said.

A 42-year-old man from Ferghana region, arrived in Tashkent from Moscow by a charter flight on June 15 and passed the corresponding test for coronavirus infection. The test results were not yet ready.

The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Uzbekistan said that the case is being studied by a special group; the deceased had no conflicts with medical staff and other persons. According to preliminary data, the patient hanged himself due to psychological problems.

The regional prosecutor’s office has begun an investigation.
