He was a Russian citizen and was not an employee of Manas airport.
The company officially informs that the documents of MIA OJSC (flight pass) found in the crash of an airplane in Sudan belonged not to an employee of the airport itself, but to an employee of the Airline Transport Incorporation FZC Victor Granov, who was a citizen of Russia and was an invited pilot for the transfer in May 2024 of the AN-12 airplane from Manas Airport to Osh International Airport, but he did not make the transfer due to his employment. The pass was issued to him in connection with the planned ferrying of the airplane in May.
MIA issues such passes not only to its employees, but also to all companies that cooperate with the airport on the basis of a contract, so that people have unhindered access to the airport terminal and apron to perform their work duties.
The downed airplane, flight number EX 76 011, belonged to the Emirates company Rome Style, further in 2024 this airplane was sold to New Way Cargo Airlines ST-JLN and has no relation to Airline Transport Incorporation FZC in Osh.
New Way Cargo Airlines is also registered in Kyrgyzstan. The Operator's Certificate for cargo operations is valid until June 16, 2025.
