Bishkek, May 27, 2024. /Kabar/. Information about the problem of mass departure of Pakistani citizens began to actively spread on social networks. In this regard, Manas International Airport gave an official response and asks the public not to mislead people.
On May 21, the Pakistani authorities organized free flights for their citizens, and in connection with this, a massive flow of people from this country began to the Manas airport, demanding to register them for the free flight. As a result, conflict situations began to occur, because the number of people wishing to fly on these flights exceeded the number of seats on the plane. Citizens of Pakistan, while on the territory of the Manas airport, began to shout out dissatisfaction against their country and demand the opportunity to fly out of Kyrgyzstan on a free flight. At first, all Pakistani citizens staying in Kyrgyzstan had the opportunity to fly from Kyrgyzstan, but later the Pakistani Foreign Ministry provided lists according to which passengers were registered. Many were not included in these lists.

The Manas International Airport OJSC explains that in this situation, the authorities of Kyrgyzstan and Manas Airport are not responsible for compiling or changing these lists. Citizens of Pakistan need to contact the Embassy of their country in Kyrgyzstan to resolve this issue, and not stay at the airport around the clock and interfere with its work.
Manas Airport, for its part, has provided all the necessary conditions for all visitors and passengers; airport employees carry out their work in compliance with all rules and aviation security requirements.
The airport also commented on the video about the allegedly rude treatment of Pakistani citizens by Manas airport employees.
“We remind you that the airport has its own rules of stay, which cannot be violated. So, at the airport, when checking in for a flight, there is a yellow line, which while one passenger is checking in, others are not allowed to cross. But the citizens of Pakistan ignored these rules, and they piled up en masse at the check-in counters, creating emergency situations. They did not respond to demands from airport employees to step back. In this regard, the airport staff and the arriving police officers had to show toughness, because such undisciplined behavior creates interference in the work of the entire airport.
Pakistani Embassy officials were also called to the scene to resolve the situation. They explained to their citizens on the spot about the rules of staying at the airport and the rules according to which they can check in for a free flight.
Today the situation has returned to normal. All conditions have been created for all passengers for a comfortable and safe stay at the airport”, the airport said in its statement.
The Manas International Airport appeals to all users of social networks with a request not to spread false information and not to aggravate the current situation. The airport also asks the public not to mislead people and create conflict situations by presenting false information.
