Bishkek, Sept. 15, 2023 / Kabar /. Manas International Airport purchased two aircraft at its own expense for the first time, the press service of the airport reported.
The official signing ceremony for the Dash-8-400 type aircraft agreement took place on September 10 in Brussels with the manufacturing company De Haviland Aircraft of Canada.
Chairman of the board of Manas International Airport JSC Manasbek Samidinov took part in the signing of this agreement.
This agreement was made possible thanks to the determined efforts of the airport management. The acquisition of these aircraft was a key step in the development of civil aviation in the Kyrgyz Republic, and will allow to expand and cover domestic route networks and significantly increase the level of aviation services for the population within the country, the press service said.
De Haviland Aircraft of Canada will deliver two aircraft in May next year. During this period, work will be carried out to modify them taking into account the legislation of the Kyrgyz Republic and in accordance with the requirements of the Civil Aviation of Kyrgyzstan.
The acquisition of aircraft is aimed at solving social problems, among which the highest priority is given to issues related to the availability and cost of air tickets on domestic flights.
