Bishkek, Dec. 11, 2024. / Kabar /. The Manas trade and logistics city is part of a large China-Kyrgyzstan-Uzbekistan railway project, Minister of Economy and Commerce of the Kyrgyz Republic Daniyar Amangeldiev told reporters.
He said that the Manas logistics center is one of the projects that investors are very interested in. Today, logistics centers work very well. More than 200 cars pass through each checkpoint in different directions every day.
"In addition to trade, the Manas logistics center will also have production facilities. It will not be a mistake to say that these two projects will complement each other. Of course, they will not be dependent on each other. Those goods that will arrive by rail, their logistics will be several times cheaper, and this means that the retail chains of our country will be competitive compared to those of Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan,” he said.
Amangeldiev noted that investors have already begun to finance this project, emphasizing that today construction work is already underway, finances have been allocated, goals are gradually being realized, and the Kyrgyz side, in turn, has resolved all issues in its part.
The capsule-laying ceremony for the construction of the Manas trade and logistics was held on October 17. The city will be built in Chui region of Kyrgyzstan.
